What season are you living in...?: Posted 11/8/2011 4:11:44 PM

It''s winding down to the end of another year. Time to look back and see how far we''ve come this year. Time to reevaluate where we would like to be going. Not quite ready to head into the new year, but making plans to change or do things differently and become more of the things you wish you were... Life sometimes gets crazy, or at least that seems to be where I am at these days. Sometimes it feels like you are on a big merry-go-round and you are not sure when or even if you are going to ever get off. I have decided to try to enjoy the view as it goes by and to try to remember that eventually it will stop!! God gives us only a little time to make a difference in our world. Are we going to use it wisely? I would like to encourage you to seek God''s guidance for your life, trust him with the details, and love those around you for HIS sake. Donna

Spring Cleaning and a book or two: Posted 3/16/2011 12:05:41 PM

Has the Spring cleaning bug hit you yet?! We are busy making room for all of the new Spring gift lines that we have coming in for Easter, Mother''s Day, Graduation, and Father''s Day. That means we have had to make some pretty tough decisions and mark down some things. It''s really a good time for you to stop by and see what you can find on sale at a great price. With that being said, we also want to let you know about a couple of great books that have been getting a lot of press lately. The first one is "Heaven is for Real" written by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent. Todd tells the story of his young son who emerges from life saving surgery with a remarkable story of his visit to heaven. It''s currently #1 on the Christian top 50 best sellers list (reported by cbaonline) as well as the New York Times combined print and e-book non-fiction list. It''s an amazing story with a simple message...that heaven is a real place. The other book we think you might want to check out is called "Radical" by David Platt. David challenges us to really consider what it means to be a disciple of Christ and to live out our faith in a way that can change the world. We would love to know what you think about these books. Spring Reminds Us of New Beginnings: Posted 2/28/2011 5:38:56 PM

This is the time of year when we begin to think of new growth and new beginnings. In our neck of the woods, we begin to see the dogwoods bloom and the wildflowers pop up on the side of the highways. I''m reminded of the verse Isaiah 43:19, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."(NIV) The new year resolutions may have fallen by the wayside at this point, but it is never too late to start again, to be renewed in your spirit. I love this time of year because we are getting in so many new books, new music, and movies that can help you get a new perspective on life and faith and God. It just inspires us to be better Christians and do more as followers of Christ. I guess that''s why we are doing some new things at our stores. Our Dothan location is getting a new look! We have moved a few things around to make it easier to shop and find what you are looking for...and our Enterprise store is updating displays to make room for all the wonderful things that we ordered in January at the Gift Show in Atlanta. With that being said, we would love for you to stop by and see some of the new gift lines we are carrying: from Demdaco- It''s All about Family, Urban Soul, Colorful Devotions, and new Willow Tree items. We also have new items from Glory Haus and A Primitive Glow and so many more have yet to come in.We think its important to share your faith with others. We make a special effort to find gift items that speak to our heart and we hope that they speak to yours. We realize that God''s love is what changes lives and He uses us to get the message out!
